«Upendo Women Group» is a women's cooperative from the Ifakara region that produces baskets, mats, and hats using traditional methods. The group's objective is to strengthen the economic independence of all women in the community by selling their products. With a loan of 2,000,000 TSH (approximately 700 CHF) requested from KAZI, they aim to expand their production and access new markets. The project contributes to social empowerment, and economic independence while preserving traditional craft skills and utilizing locally available raw materials (thereby reducing the importation of external products).
